Created for the 20th anniversary rerelease of Grandaddy’s revered album Sumday. A documentary-style retrospective constructed as a sentimental road trip down memory lane and ode to California’s Central Valley.

A collaboration with experimental music label AKP Recordings and Chuck Soo-Hoo’s ambient project Ki Oni, filmed at the dublab headquarters in Los Angeles for Ki Oni’s new record A Leisurely Swim to Everlasting Life. Guided by Soo-Hoo’s swirling memories and thought processes on grief, death, and reincarnation, this video uses an improvised, experimental digital style to match Soo-Hoo’s improvisitional performance and recording ethos.
